We collect as little personal data as the work allows, and we never sell it or pass it to agents and developers. This page sets out exactly what we hold and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to Apexstone Group (“Apexstone”, “we”, “us”) and to this website, apexstone-group.com. It explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Our client portal at apps.apexstone-group.com is covered by the same policy, and any engagement you sign with us may add terms specific to that engagement.
2. What we collect
Browsing this website. This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising or analytics trackers, and has no forms or accounts. Our hosting provider records standard technical request logs — including IP address, browser user agent, and the pages requested — for delivery and security. We do not use those logs to identify individuals.
When you contact us. If you message us on WhatsApp, email us, or connect on LinkedIn, we receive whatever you choose to send: your name, contact details, and the content of your messages.
When you engage us for a consultation. To do the work, we collect what the advice depends on — your budget and financing position, ownership and household details relevant to stamp duty and loan eligibility, property preferences, and documents you choose to share with us. We ask only for what the analysis actually needs.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18, and our services are intended for adults.
3. Why we collect it
We use personal data to:
- respond to your enquiry and arrange a consultation;
- carry out the research, analysis, and shortlisting you engaged us for;
- provide follow-up support relating to that engagement;
- issue invoices and keep accounting and tax records; and
- meet legal, regulatory, and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with agents, developers, or brokers for marketing purposes. We earn no transaction commission, so we have no reason to pass your details to anyone trying to sell you a property.
4. Consent and withdrawal
We rely on your consent to collect, use, and disclose your personal data for the purposes above, except where the PDPA permits or requires us to act without it.
You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to hello@apexstone-group.com. We will tell you what withdrawing means in practice — in most cases we would no longer be able to continue an active engagement — and we will stop the relevant processing within a reasonable time, keeping only what the law requires us to retain.
5. Service providers and third parties
We use a small number of third-party services to operate, and your data is handled under their own policies when you use them:
- website and application hosting, which processes the technical request logs described above;
- messaging and email platforms — WhatsApp, Telegram, and our email provider — for client communication;
- cloud storage and document tools used to prepare your work; and
- professional advisers, such as accountants, where necessary and under a duty of confidentiality.
Some of these providers store data outside Singapore. Where we transfer personal data overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA.
Property data we analyse — such as public transaction records and listings — is separate from your personal data and is covered in our Terms of Service.
6. Protection and retention
We take reasonable security measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, use, or disclosure — including access controls on our systems and limiting who can see client material. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We keep personal data only while it serves the purpose it was collected for, or while a legal or business need requires it — for example, records needed for tax and accounting. After that, we delete it or anonymise it.
If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in significant harm, or that meets the notifiable threshold, we will notify the Personal Data Protection Commission and affected individuals as required.
7. Access, correction, and complaints
You may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used or disclosed in the past year;
- correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete; or
- delete data we no longer have a reason to keep.
Write to hello@apexstone-group.com. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will respond within a reasonable time. Some requests carry exceptions under the PDPA, and we will explain if one applies.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your data, you may raise it with us first, and you may also contact the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore.
8. Links to other sites
This website links to external sites, including social platforms and property listing portals. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their policies before sharing personal data with them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services and systems change. The current version is always the one on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. Material changes affecting an active engagement will be communicated to you directly.
10. Contact
For anything relating to personal data — including access, correction, withdrawal of consent, or a complaint — contact us at hello@apexstone-group.com or on WhatsApp at +65 8121 0628.
